Holbrook, AZ: On Friday, March 22, 2019 around 1:30 PM, Heber Deputies responded to a report of a male subject that had been in a shed on a property and was seen possibly gathering items from the residence. The suspect left the location and the reporting party provided a description and last known direction of travel of the suspect.
A deputy spotted a male subject matching the description of the reported suspect in the area the suspect was last seen. When the Deputy attempted to make contact the male subject began to flee on foot. After a short foot purist, the male subject gave up without incident. The male was detained into handcuffs. The male was then identified as Harvey Jackson Curtis.
The suspect was positively identified by a witness and Harvey was placed under arrest for Burglary in the 3rd degree and criminal trespassing in the 2nd degree.
Sheriff David Clouse stated: “Our Deputies did an outstanding job detaining and arresting this suspect, we will do our best to apprehend all burglary suspects and protect our citizens property within Navajo County. This is the third arrest in the last month of different burglary suspects in three different communities within the county. Navajo County has taken an aggressive approach to property crimes and apprehending suspects committing these crimes”.
