SHOW LOW: The White Mountain Community Dance Hall is gearing up for this year’s dancing season which starts Friday April 19th and runs thru October 11th. They are located at 1105 Old Highway 160, Show Low, Arizona (near Linden). This is the biggest and the best wood dance floor in the White Mountains. Come Join in the Fun on Friday and Saturday nights!
Western Community Dances are held every Friday 7-10 pm, starting April 19th thru October 11th. (No dance on July 19th.) There is always Live Music for all types of dancing: Polka, Waltz, Arizona & Texas Two-Step, Country Swing, Cha-Cha, East & West Coast Swing, and Line Dancing, to name a few. This is a family friendly event with no alcohol allowed. Participants are encouraged to bring a dessert or appetizers to share. Punch provided and water and sodas for sale. Donation is $7.00 per person with family rates available.
Square Dances are held every Saturday 7-9pm, starting May 18th thru September 14th with a variety of guest callers. These dances are for experienced Mainstream and Plus square dancers of all ages. Square Dance lessons are being offered on Saturdays 5:00-6:30pm. There is one session of Square Dance Lessons that runs June 1st thru August 31st, however, brand new students will only be accepted thru June 15th, so don’t wait! Children from Junior High and above are welcome to join in the fun. These lessons might qualify for Physical Education; so, check with your school and then contact us to reserve your spot before June 15th! Call for rates.
The 71st Annual Round and Square Dance Festival is July 18th thru July 21st. It is the main event for the club and draws in a lot of out of town dancers.
You could not ask for any better “Family Friendly” events! Everyone is welcome: singles, couples and families! No alcohol is allowed. Bring snacks to share, if you like. Bottled water and sodas are available for sale. We hope to see you soon!
